Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and brought up on the island of Guernsey, Sinclair has always had a love of all things musical. At four years old, he would incessantly bang away on pots and pans, denting them in the process. This desire to become a drummer came after being inspired by the movie ‘That Thing You Do’, which, as a toddler he watched over and over again. At the age of 11, when he first picked up a pair of real drumsticks and played a real drum kit (a lifelong ambition up to this point!) at a friends house, he had an immediate desire to take his music to a higher level. Training first as a drummer, he then found himself drifting towards the guitar as his drumming opened a door into the world of rock music. It wasn’t until later that he found a passion for singing and writing his own music. Sinclair plays every instrument on each of his tracks as well as arranging and producing them. Sinclair has also studied sound engineering and production, something which has created a new perspective into his own work thanks to the influence of some of the many musicians he was given the opportunity to work with, including renowned drummer Alex ‘Accy’ Yeats. Influences: As a singer, Sinclair has a voice naturally suited to rock and cites American singer Miles Kennedy as perhaps his greatest influence. He has also found much inspiration in the work of Jeff Buckley, Phil Collins and Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan. An avid fan of the likes of Guns n’ Roses, Led Zeppelin and lesser known bands Alter Bridge and Dream Theater, Sinclair strives for perfection in every aspect of his work be it in studio or live performance. Despite his experience of recording work Sinclair’s heart, like many others, lies with the live performance side of the industry, and so, he is constantly looking for new ways of pushing himself in a live environment.
