His background is fine art based, studying Fine Art at The Slade School of Art and later gaining a degree in Graphic Design and Photography. Upon completion of these studies, Zoobs was awarded a priceless internship at Shiseido Cosmetics in Japan on the strength of his Art Directional skills combined with Photography and Design, followed by his appointment to work at the Paris Headquarters of the same company, assisting Serge Lutens, the then creative director for Shiseido.
Since then, Zoobs has worked in a vast arena of faculties including make-up, styling, photography, digital post production and digital art, moving image, sound, literature, design, video installation and performance. He now juggles work between commercial and artistic fields through either commissions for shoots, campaigns and art-direction projects in the fashion, film, consumer publishing and music industries, or his personal exhibitions either as a solo artist or as part of a group or collaboration.
