Gokul Salvadi is a Carnatic singer from India. His early training started with Violin, when he was fourteen. Violin was the first instrument he fall in love with, according to him. After few years he started taking vocal training with Shri. Lakshmi Narasimhan.
Interestingly during his travel and work, one could see him taking his iPod or a piece of paper, and recording, or writing musical passages . He writes, ”If you find something good in my work, there is a great man Shri. Lakshmi Narasimhan, my Guru, who took (taking) much pain in taking me to places where I can explore the wonder world of music” Gokul writes weblogs, rarely books; whose writings span across different areas, not restricted to music. His compositions are blend of traditional Indian, and contemporary elements. He is basically a physics graduate, professional software engineer having industrial experience for around 13 yrs as an entrepreneur. These days, he is a stock broker and stock trader, by profession. In the midst of varying intersects and activities that have been mentioned here, and not mentioned here, there is only one thing he has been constantly involved. That is music.
